One of my dear friends showed me the pattern to this quilt, and asked "Do you think I could make this quilt?" (having not made one before) I said, "YES!!!!!!!!!" Let's do it. I would LOVE to make that quilt too.
So the week after my little Miri was born, we started in (she had a newborn of her own too).
Thus began my passion for moda fabrics. As we looked and looked at fabrics and patterns, I realized that sometimes there is just an amazing difference between the wholesale fabrics and the designer fabrics. I love a good deal, but I also love gorgeous fabric. Sometimes the two don't go together! Unless you can master Ebay (which is how the fabrics in this quilt came to pass).
Anyway..........
After a few months of sewing, interspersed with coaching baseball, children, a baby quilt, two table runners, and laundry........I finished the quilt late last night while Miriam refused to sleep.
It was going to be a throw for the couch, but I just might hang it instead! I am loving it, and I do have a burnt orange leather couch that matches!
Details: 51 x 60 inches, all "Cotton Blossoms" fab by Moda, the back is completely stripped with 32 stripes of different fabrics from the line (forgot to take a picture of the back!) Pattern is "Wall Flower" by Camille Roskelley
