Spring Fishing

For my birthday, we went fishing. I just wanted to get outside together, so we did. And we loved it. We will definitely be going out again soon.

We caught as much seaweedy stuff as fish : )

Pinewood Derby

First pinewood derby for Nathan. We had two cars in the races this year.

Matthew won first place. Dad did the same things to both cars, but they chose different shapes...so apparently that made a difference? Who knows.....

Here are some dads lubing up some cars for the final race. Do they look a little bit INTO it?

We love scouts and Pinewood Derby. Matthew went on to the District Derby. He beat quite a few cars, but didn't make the top three. It was good for him. He won last year.

Quilt Along with Friends

I finished Block #1 and Block #2 for the Pinwheel Sampler Quilt Along that I am doing. There are four here, because you do two of each. The tutorials are at P.S. I Quilt, so I am joining hundreds of quilters there working on this same quilt together. A virtual Quilting Bee of sorts......we really do live in the "Jetson's" world I think! I also have some REAL life friends quilting along with me too! So Marci and Nichole---I will be looking for a post of your completed blocks! Check out Marcie's too. She totally beat the rest of us. Doing one block a week is totally my speed!---I missed one week and did both of these yesterday and today! Aaaaaahhhhhhhh! I just added the link for P.S. I Quilt, and the Block #3 tutorial is up already. Well, I just finished cleaning up all of my mess, so that will have to wait until next Friday!

PS---This is my favorite fabric line of all time--so far. "Patisserie" by Fig Tree Quilts. More of it to come in weeks ahead in many pinwheel shapes--36 fabrics in the line.

Decluttering

I am freeing my house of its clutter, and apparently there is a lot!  My garbage cans have looked like this for two weeks in a row.  It is such a great feeling!  I also filled my the back of my suburban and took it to Goodwill.  Nothing like spring cleaning!
