I love ROSES!

Two dozen roses!  From my sweetie!  He even spent the day taking the cub scouts on a five mile hike FOR me (the cubmaster) since I have a nursing baby!  They are gorgeous and he is awesome.

If you want to get a laugh about roses and maybe a clue about where they came from, my friend got some roses too!  Coincidence?  They still are special!  I was dying laughing when I read her blog.  My husband is "the friend"!  Love it............

It's Done!

I have had a quilting obsession lately.  Seriously.......................
The quilt tops are piling up, and now it is time for me to get them all finished (machine quilted).  And one is done! Mailed. Delivered....
This is a baby quilt.  It ended up being about 51x51 inches.  It is a variation of the pattern "Wild Thing"  from Thimble Blossoms.  It is an easy and fast block to do.  I finished the quilt top in one late night and very early morning up with Miriam.
The quilt is done with John Deere fabric for a John Deere employee that is having a baby boy.  Hopefully she likes it.  I machine quilted it with swirls.
My husband and boys were very concerned that all of the tractors were cut into pieces.  So to accommodate them, I pieced the back to include some WHOLE tractors.

We love puppies!  Early this morning, I had to clip all of the puppy toe-nails.  All of my children (with their bed-head hair) piled onto the couch to hold the puppies.  We love it!  As hard as puppies are to raise as they get bigger, we get them for the best 8 weeks!  There is no chewing or digging or nipping or barking yet!

Little side note.............
I decided to stamp my pictures with a signature, NOT because I think I am a photographer (pretty far from it!), but so that it is less desirable for anyone to steal the pictures of my kids online.  Just an idea I have seen others do.

I love spring bulbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They come up on their own even before I really get going in cleaning out my flower beds!
This picture should have been gorgeous withthe early morning sun today and water droplets on the flowers (it was gorgeous in person), but my point and click camera couldn't quite pull it off!

Day 2 of pulling out things.........
Sorry to my brothers and sisters out there that feel emotionally attached to these bushes!

The front tooth, after quite a battle, has been officially lost.

There is just nothing like a long day of working outside.  I love the sun.  I love the air.  I actually love working.... as my husband can attest too.  He says I always have 10 projects in mind for us to do.

Actually,  this 70 degree Saturday spring day has been a long time coming.  The kids love being outside all day long while we work.

It is community clean-up week for Earth Month here, so there was free dumping at the city dump.  We like FREE, so we worked from sun up till sun down today---chopping down trees, hauling out old yard debris, and any other junk we could find.

We even got the sprinkler system going.  Do you like how freely I use the term "we."  I think by that point, I was holding Miriam and Ryan was doing all of the work.

Amazing, how 70 degrees can feel like summer when it has been 50 degrees for so many days this spring.  The boys sure thought so as the sprinklers were turned on!

Little memo to friends............I am so reluctant to tell anyone I have a blog now until it actually has things on it.  But I am just going to get over that.  So there are just a few links of blogs and things on the side.  A work in progress!  Send me your blog addresses!

We had puppies!  We also have kittens, not to mention our new baby girl.  That's a lot of babies in one house...........13 to be exact!
Mocha had ten puppies last week.  They are purebred registered labs.  We will be selling them after a few weeks.  But for now, we just get to enjoy them.  She had four black, two chocolate, and four yellow puppies.  Matthew and I helped deliver them all through the night.  It is a very fun experience for all of the kids to take care of puppies.  It is a fun family project, with good pay back!

A special Easter with family.
We blessed our little Miriam today.  Each of my daughters gets ONE handmade dress from me, and that is it.  I may quilt, but I am not much of a clothing seamstress.  However, I love how Miriam's dress turned out.  Both sets of grandmas and grandpas came for the special day.  We had a wonderful Easter dinner celebration after church together!

Well, we are entering the blogging world after months of thinking on it......: )
It just has been too much fun reading about everyone, seeing your families, and having a little part of your daily lives!  There isn't anything glamorous about our family---but we have a lot of fun, a lot of craziness, a lot of funny moments, a lot of messes, and more daily miracles than we can count.  Those are the types of things we want to share!

Something About Me

IT'S THE LITTLE MOMENTS HERE AND THERE THAT MAKE LIFE WORTH IT! I LIVE FOR THE LITTLE MOMENTS THAT CAN'T BE PREDICTED OR PRODUCED, JUST EXPERIENCED!
