A Clay Day

The Pottery Merit Badge

We are attempting the pottery merit badge together!  Pinch pots, slab projects, coil pots, and throwing on the wheel.  Everyone has made something to be fired.  We are having so much fun with our
"new to us" wheel and kiln!

Loading the kiln for a bisque fire.

We'll show the results soon. . .

Mountain Bike Riding

Ryan and the boys went to Park City to go mountain bike riding.  They got to ride up the ski lift to the top of the mountain and then ride down.  When I last talked to them, they were headed for their 6th ride down.

Going up

At the top, ready to ride down.

School Shopping

I've been taking the kids school shopping, two by two (we don't count Emma!).
The first day was with Mark and Matthew.  We started the day early at the orthodontist, and then headed from store to store.  We even went to the mall, a very rare adventure for these boys.  We were very successful with a few outfits for each, and all were satisfied.  The restaurant of choice for lunch was McDonald's, a boy's favorite.
(and Emma's too)

And then it was Girls' day out!  What a dream to shop with mom, and they were great shoppers!  They tried on lots of outfits and never ran out of energy.  We settle on a few favorite outfits, and went to Subway for lunch.  It is our favorite restaurant for a girls' day!

Next will be Nathan and Andrew. . .
