Our busy days...

This is how Wednesday afternoons look for us. . .
drop one at football practice,
two at cub scouts,
and two at ballet,
with two others in tow.

First day of ballet/tap classes--they just can't wait! ! !

Harvest Trot

The Connell Fall Festival Harvest Trot!  It's Fall Festival time and the Kelly Family came out to support the Harvest Trot.  Matthew and I ran in the 5K.  Nathan, Mark, and Eliza all ran the mile!  We had a great time.  I made a personal best time of 27 minutes.  My fastest race previously was 30 minutes.  My running all summer paid off.

The New Patio and Flowers

We put in our own paver patio this summer.  It transformed our flower beds as well.  We pulled out all of the bushes and tall arborvitae bushes, moved all of the rocks into a rock wall, and transplanted all of the  perennials.  It has been the best change ever to the back yard.  The flowers have flourished without the rocks to grow around.

Still Swimming

School has started but it is still very hot each day.  We are still swimming each afternoon.  I have been running most days of the week.  I love summer.  It's hard to give up the summer and head back to the school schedule.  We have used our pool more this summer than ever before.

The flowers have gone crazy this summer.  I planted mostly petunias, and they have flowed over the pots.  I love flowers!

Mark's Birthday

Mark had his birthday.  He is seven already.  How did time go by so quickly?  In true August fashion, we had an ice cream cake to celebrate--mud pie to be exact.
