First Annual Flying Turkey Loop

I ran in the first ever "Flying Turkey Loop" 5K. I have to say it was great, and if you didn't make it, you missed out. There were even commemorative cups :)
Of course, I followed the run with a VERY large meal.........maybe breaking even?

Things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving day:
My God
My husband
My children
My healthy body
My home
My extended family
My friends
My abundance of blessings
This list could be very long........make one today.

It was snowing the whole time, and a fun time to remember.

I had to add a picture of my turkey bread bowl that is becoming a Thanksgiving tradition. I found it at Family Fun about 5 years ago when I was hosting Thanksgiving. Now it is a requested favorite. It is filled with clam dip to enjoy with crackers while waiting for the big meal to be done, or after the big meal is done, or all day long!

Trip to St. George

We hopped in the big van and went to St. George for the long Veterans' Day weekend. We got to see Grandma and Grandpa Lee. We especially wanted to see Great Grandpa (my grandpa). His health is not well, and we wanted to spend some more time with him.
We also got to do A LOT of hiking! We went to Zion National Park for free on Veterans' Day. It is worth the drive from anywhere, it was amazing! The weather was beautiful, and we had a great time.

Birthday for a 7 year old

We went roller-skating for Andrew's birthday, and to McDonald's. Here is a quote that will tell you how often my kids have had a Happy Meal. "Mom! There is a TOY in here!" Mark says. "There is????" I say...... I promise that is a real quote. Ryan and I couldn't stop laughing. Well, at least we have left some surprise in their lives! They thought it was a DREAM getting their own Happy Meal at McDonald's and rollerskating with our free summer reading coupons. Not a bad birthday!
