Mark's 6th Birthday

We had a swimming party for Mark's 6th birthday. It was 98 degrees, and a perfect swimming day. It was a great party with a lot of fun boys!

Last Hooray for Summer!

We have been trying to soak up every last drop of summer before school starts. So we definitely had to get in a trip to the Moses Lake Aquatic Center---the water park as we call it.
I really didn't see the boys but for quick snack breaks once per hour over the 6 hours we were there-----so there aren't a lot of pictures of them. But we all had so much fun! The shallow end was perfect for the girls. Eliza spent 90% of her time under water. It was 90 degrees and beautiful. We met several friends there and had the best time just swimming and visiting and soaking in some last minute summer sun.

A few last minute Summer Projects

There is nothing like cramming a few projects in at the last minute when you feel like the end of summer freedom is looming. I love the school year and the schedule that it brings to the family---but there is also something to the freedom of summer!

So, I tackled a few projects these two last weeks:
(mostly because a baby delivery is in the not too far future for me---school and baby will be enough without these projects to have finished)

Made a baby quilt for our new little girl
Helped Kortneigh machine quilt the t-shirt quilt she whipped up for her husband, Shayne
Machine quilted this full size quilt for Ashley that my mother-in-law made---it is her heading to college quilt.
And I even sewed up a quilt top for myself, finished product was not yet photographed :)
I helped all of my boys build a "ledge" shelf for their bedrooms so all of that junk, I mean all of those treasures can be moved off of their dressers and elsewhere.
(IE--math team trophies, pinewood derby cars, swim team ribbons, sculptures things, etc.)
Looks like we need a finished product photo of those too!

Grandpa turned 60!

Well, he finally turned 60! That dad and grandpa of ours. It is hard to believe, but very true.
Luckily, we got to celebrate with him at our house, so we had a great big party!!!!!!!
We also celebrated birthdays for Andrea, Caiden, Mark, and Ryan.
August is a big birthday month around here!
