The Garden

For some reason I love planting really long garden rows. But how DO you eat all of that spinach when it comes on? I even blend it up in frozen fruit drinks, but now it is bolting up with the heat and each leaf is as big as my two year old.

And apparently, we need to re-seed the bean row. It is looking pretty empty.

Why do I plant a garden?

Definitely for the produce, although it doesn't always produce wonderfully or perfectly.

Definitely to create work for my children to do. We never have a shortage of weeds.

Definitely because I love getting my hands in the dirt and growing things.

It just makes me happy.
